AVUC Minister Transition – AVUC Update and Information Session – 13 April 2025

As you all know, sadly our minister Gordon will be leaving us at the end June this year.

Next Sunday (13^th April) we invite the congregation to join a discussion about how the parish will operate during the process of appointing a new minister.  Church Council will also provide an outline of the process for appointing a new minister.

Items for information and discussion:

1.       Presbytery process for appointing a new minister – outline of process and timeframe.

 

2.       AVUC congregation

 

a.       Models of worship:

-          Supply ministers

-          Congregational driven options (Examples: Bible studies; congregation member led services; hymnal services; scripture reflections)

 

b.       Weekly rosters and help needed “behind the scenes”
