AVUC Minister Transition – AVUC Update and Information Session – 13 April 2025

As you all know, sadly our minister Gordon will be leaving us at the end June this year.

Next Sunday (13^th April) we invite the congregation to join a discussion about how the parish will operate during the process of appointing a new minister.  Church Council will also provide an outline of the process for appointing a new minister.

Items for information and discussion:

1.       Presbytery process for appointing a new minister – outline of process and timeframe.

 

2.       AVUC congregation

 

a.       Models of worship:

-          Supply ministers

-          Congregational driven options (Examples: Bible studies; congregation member led services; hymnal services; scripture reflections)

 

b.       Weekly rosters and help needed “behind the scenes”

We are very keen to hear and share your ideas and thoughts around how you would like your parish to move forward during this period. We have a great opportunity – let’s work together and keep AVUC thriving!
